2018 Boys State Basketball Recap

Boys State Basketball Tournament is in the books! This year was a little different with no coverage area teams in the tournament for the Daily Sun. Watched a couple of Thursday games after work, shot video on Friday's semifinals for the Striv pre-game hype videos for the championship games and shot photographs for Callam on the early three finals.

After being used to covering the last three championship games, it was tough to recover from the 8:45 PM game Friday night to the 9:00 AM Class C1 Championship on Saturday. Luckily, we were treated with another overtime game, this time between Wahoo & Winnebago. These two teams & towns brought tons of effort & emotion. Then it was Nebraska City Lourdes Central Catholic going for the three-peat over previously-unbeaten Kenesaw. I wrapped up my tournament with a double-overtime classic for York's title versus Omaha Skutt. Talk about an incredible comeback in that game. And how about all of the amazing success coming out of York right now?

So here's a short photo recap of those three games! Thanks for stopping by!
